There are thousands of people working every day to revolutionize the way people think about health, fitness, and happiness, and every year we recognize those making the biggest impacts (for both good and not-so-good reasons). Last year the focus seemed to be on changing American’s diets (and the never-ending attempt to reduce our consumption of sugar and processed foods), building a strong booty, and reducing stress so we can be happier and more productive.
Are you flexible? I don’t mean, “Can you touch your toes?” Because honestly that’s not important to me. When it comes to yoga, it doesn’t matter if you’re “flexible.” That’s a myth. What matters is that you show up. And breathe. And do your best with breath. With a clear intention.
How much stress are you carrying around? Do you feel burdened by life’s circumstances and emotional issues? Becoming more grounded and happy starts with letting go of worry and stress. I learned this in my own journey, through overcoming drug addictions, healing myself from depression, and walking away from a career in corporate to follow my heart and be a successful writer and life coach.
